Dear Rev. Fr. Titus, Fr. John Milton, Religious Brothers and Sisters and the Parishioners,
Greetings from Francis Kalist.
I am glad to know that you are launching a new Website for St. Joseph’s Cathedral Parish. This will enhance the life of communion among the Parishioners for which a parish is instituted. I am also happy that you are launching the Website during Christmas. Christmas is the feast of Incarnation through which God establishes a life of communion with Mankind. Christmas reminds us that God is always with us. So with the launching of the Website, help people to celebrate the Christmas with hope in our hearts and like the Magi, seek Him who came to seek and save what is lost. Pope Francis exhorts us in ‘Evangelii Gaudium’: “I invite all Christians, everywhere, at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting him encounter them; I ask all of you to do this unfailingly each day. No one should think that this invitation is not meant for him or her, since no one is excluded from the JOY brought by the Lord . The Lord does not disappoint those who take this risk; whenever we take a step towards Jesus, we come to realize that he is already there, waiting for us with open arms. Now is the time to say to Jesus: “Lord, I have let myself be deceived; in a thousand ways I have shunned your love, yet here I am once more, to renew my covenant with you. I need you. Save me once again, Lord, take me once more into your redeeming embrace. How good it feels to come back to him whenever we are lost! [Joy of the Gospel].
With this message I congratulate you for the new Website and remember you all very specially in my prayers. May the blessings of the Child Jesus be with you always.
Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and a spirit filled New Year 2015.
Yours in Child Jesus
